A Beautiful Biltmore Senior Session in Asheville, NC
When Claire and her mom traveled all the way from Ohio to North Carolina for her senior portraits, I knew we were going to create something special. They chose the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina for her senior session, and it was the perfect setting for the elegant, timeless look Claire had envisioned.
We scheduled her session for an early June morning, which gave us beautiful soft light and a quieter start to the day. The Biltmore is such a unique location for senior photos because every part of the property offers something different. From the historic architecture to the gardens and surrounding greenery, there are so many opportunities to create portraits that feel both classic and personal.
A Sage Green Dress That Complimented the Biltmore
Claire chose a beautiful sage green dress for part of her session, and I absolutely loved how it looked against the architecture of the Biltmore Estate. The soft green color complemented the warm stone, detailed architecture, and surrounding gardens without competing with the location.

My Favorite Portrait From Claire's Biltmore Session
There are always a few images from a session that stick with me, and one of my favorite portraits from Claire's Biltmore senior session was created in the gardens.
We used one of the beautiful lattice structures to frame Claire, with flowers in both the foreground and background. The layers created so much depth in the image while still keeping the focus completely on her.
This is one of the reasons I love photographing senior portraits at Biltmore Estate. There are so many natural elements we can use to create depth and interest without the photographs feeling overly posed or staged.
The garden gave us a completely different look from the architecture, and the combination of the soft morning light, flowers, and lattice made this portrait feel almost like a painting.
