Emily and Jack traveled all the way from Florida to the mountains of North Carolina to celebrate their wedding surrounded by the people they love most. Their family and friends came from all over to be there, making their wedding weekend feel less like a single day and more like a true gathering of everyone they love.
One of the things that made their venue so special was that they were able to have the property for the entire weekend. With lodging right on the property, their closest family and friends could stay together, slow down, spend time with one another, and really enjoy being together without having to worry about traveling back and forth. It created such a relaxed and intimate feeling throughout the entire weekend.
Their ceremony took place outside beside a pavilion overlooking the pond. Surrounded by the mountains and the people who had traveled from near and far to celebrate with them, it was such a beautiful setting for Emily and Jack to begin this next chapter together.
And, of course, we can't forget about the puppies.
Emily's family brought their puppies along for the weekend because, as any dog lover understands, sometimes leaving them at home simply isn't an option. They made their way into the wedding festivities and quickly became some of the cutest members of the celebration. Having those little personalities there made the day feel even more personal and true to Emily and Jack.
After the ceremony, everyone headed inside for their reception, where the celebration continued with dinner, dancing, laughter, and plenty of time spent together. There was something really special about seeing so many people make the trip to North Carolina just to celebrate these two.
Emily and Jack's wedding was a beautiful reminder of what I love most about photographing weddings. It isn't just about the big moments. It's about the people who travel across the country to be there, the family who stays together all weekend, the little details that make a wedding completely their own, and yes, even the puppies who couldn't possibly miss the celebration.
It was such an honor to be there to document their wedding weekend in the North Carolina mountains, and I am so grateful Emily and Jack trusted me to preserve these memories for them.
