The Venue
Leslie and Brandon tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at the 1907 Brewing Co. in November 2024, surrounded by the charm of downtown Morristown. This beautiful venue, recently revamped by the Bride's brother, blends historic elegance with a modern industrial vibe, featuring large windows that open up to the hustle and bustle of Main Street and gorgeous hand-painted brick accents. It provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding celebration.
Uniqueness
I've said it once, and I'll say it again, small personal touches can make all the difference in a wedding ceremony. At Leslie and Brandon's wedding, those small personal touches brought their families into the spotlight, creating an unforgettable day.
Leslie stood behind the grand double doors of the Roosevelt Room, heart racing as she awaited her moment. When the music swelled, the doors swung open, revealing the stunning bride, escorted by her son. A hush fell over the crowd, a mark of respect and admiration for the radiant woman making her way to the altar. With pride, Leslie's son handed her off to her father, and together they walked arm in arm down the aisle, where her groom anxiously waited. As they exchanged their handwritten vows, the emotion in the room was palpable; not a single eye remained dry as heartfelt promises were shared. The officiant's voice broke through the emotion, calling for the rings. In a heartwarming moment, Leslie's elderly grandfather rose from his seat and made his way to the front, proudly presenting the couple’s wedding bands. After a tender hug with his beloved granddaughter, he returned to his seat, leaving behind a trail of tears and smiles. With a kiss, the couple sealed their vows as their wedding party erupted in joyful celebration, showering the couple in colorful streamers.
The heartfelt inclusion of Leslie's family during the wedding ceremony wove a tapestry of warmth and love throughout the day, creating an atmosphere that celebrated their deep bond surrounded by their dearest friends and family.
Fun
From the moment the festivities began, it was clear that this couple knows how to throw a party! Every second was filled with joyous laughter and the warmth of friendship. One of my favorite highlights from their reception was the trendy photo party game they organized, where the DJ would play a song and tables would race to the dance floor for a quick picture with the couple before the music stopped. It’s such a fun way for guests to snag a professional photo with the newlyweds!
Couple's Portraits
The weather was perfect that day for the couple's newlywed portraits. One cool fact about Morristown, Tennessee is that they have double sidewalks. They have a cute saying of "sidewalks so nice that we did them twice." I definitely recommend visiting this Tennessee town to check this fun downtown feature out. After the ceremony and family photos were complete, I snuck the newlyweds outdoors for us to do couple's portraits during golden and blue hour. I love the look of the 1907 Brewing sign in the back of their pictures. As well as, the brick details and downtown buildings. most of the weddings that I shoot have lots of greenery and nature in the background. I was excited to diversify my portfolio with a more urban setting, and absolutely adore the way their wedding images turned out.
Leslie and Brandon's wedding truly was a unique celebration, set against the vibrant backdrop of downtown Morristown. It was an absolute joy to work in such a captivating venue, and I’m eager to capture more weddings there in the near future.
