The Venue
East Tennessee is a popular destination for many reasons. Visitors come from all over to explore the stunning Great Smoky Mountains National Park, enjoy the attractions at the well-known Dollywood, or catch a University of Tennessee Volunteers football game. Additionally, the Blue Ridge Mountains attract many brides and grooms looking to get married amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.
The Blue Mountanya Resort is the perfect venue for couples who want to immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of nature while making a lifelong commitment to each other. This picturesque location served as the ideal backdrop for Hannah and Austin as they dedicated their lives to one another last October. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they tearfully exchanged heartfelt vows that I had the pleasure of documenting.
So grab a snack and settle in as I highlight my favorite moments from their perfect day.
Friendship
As a photographer, I truly believe that the people you choose to surround yourself with on your wedding day can make all the difference. When assembling your bridal party, focusing on the quality of your relationships rather than the quantity can lead to the most meaningful experiences. While a larger bridal party might create striking visuals, it’s often the intimate gatherings that allow for the most genuine and heartfelt moments to be captured.
Hannah’s wedding day was filled with love and support from those around her. Her bridesmaids, along with her maid of honor, showered her with care and affection, and witnessing their deep connection was incredibly touching. It was touching to see nearly all of her bridesmaids overcome with emotion as they watched the couple exchange their vows.
At the reception, Hannah's maid of honor gave a moving speech that beautifully highlighted the strength of their friendship and her heartfelt joy for Hannah. It was a moment filled with love and sincerity that truly highlighted the strength of their bond.
Emotion
This sweet couple had been planning their wedding day for nine years—yes, nine years! Together, they had patiently dreamed of and organized a day that was beautiful and full of emotion.
Before their public ceremony, the couple took a few moments for a private vow reading on the balcony of the bridal suite. A cool fall breeze surrounded them as golden sunlight streamed through the autumn foliage. Hannah slowly walked across the balcony and tapped Austin's shoulder, prompting him to turn around for their first look. He couldn't stop beaming as he took in the beauty of his soon-to-be wife. After sharing a quick embrace, they began reading their handwritten vows. Neither of them had a dry eye as they took turns promising to love, respect, honor, and cherish one another.
This wedding was beautiful, not only because of the stunning venue and picturesque mountain scenery, but also due to the deep love and connection shared by the couple. If you have a wedding coming up and are still looking for a photographer or videographer, I would be delighted to discuss how I can help you capture both the intricate details and the unforgettable moments of your special day.
